Catermasters success at the FSM Awards
Catermasters tasted award success on Monday night after our very own Clive Jones was crowned Unit Manager of the Year at the 2013 FSM Awards.
Clive has been a highly-respected member of the Catermasters team for more than 20 years and is the unit manager at one of our busy client sites in Coventry.
He was shortlisted for the award because the judges were impressed with work ethic, his successful approach to running a client site, his willingness to support his staff, and his unswerving dedication to training the talent of the future through our successful Chef's Academy programme.
Clive received his award during a glittering awards ceremony at the Grange Tower Bridge Hotel in London and was applauded to the stage by hundreds of industry professionals. He said: "It's a massive honour to receive an industry award like this and I honestly didn't believe it would be coming my way. When my name was read out I was completely stunned. I try and give my best to Catermasters every time I come to work and it's humbling to be recognised like this."
Catermasters joint managing director Nigel Johnson said: "Clive is a hugely valuable member of our team and this award is richly deserved. He's been with us for a long time and his experience in the catering industry is second to none. He's a hugely influential figure on so many levels and I'm pleased that's been recognised by the industry."
Catermasters was also shortlisted in two other categories at the FSM Awards but narrowly missed out on claiming the top prizes on the night. Nathan Franks was up for the Area Manager of the Year prize, while Nigel Johnson was in the final running for the Contract Caterer award.
