A morning jam-packed with fun!
Catermasters made the most of the warm and sunny weather last week by spending a morning at a farm in Oxfordshire to pick some fresh raspberries that were then made into jam.
A keen group of staff, headed by joint managing director Nigel Johnson, met at Rectory Farm in Stanton St John to go in search of the summer's finest fruits. And they weren't disappointed!
"There aren't many things that are as enjoyable and rewarding as spending a Sunday morning in the fruit fields picking raspberries that will then be made into homemade jam," said Nigel.
"We're great believers in using fresh and locally-sourced produce and Rectory Farm is a place that produces fantastic raspberries. And, of course, you have to try some of them while you're out picking!"
The raspberry jam that was lovingly made by one of our chefs after the successful fruit-picking trip will be enjoyed by customers in a selection of our units during the next few weeks.
