HCM Group secures new deals worth £8m

HCM Group (Host Catermasters Group) has secured nearly £6.8m in new business and retained £1.4m of existing business over the past two months.

The new and retained contracts are with several organisations including Oxfam, Prodrive in Banbury, Wiley in Bognor Regis, the Belgrade Theatre in Coventry and two independent schools from Bell Educational Services Ltd - one in St Albans and the other in Cambridge. Over thirty new staff will join HCM and will provide a wide range of catering services to these clients including restaurants, cafés, bars, hospitality and event catering.

The largest new win is a five-year deal with the Belgrade Theatre. Built in 1958 as part of the reconstruction of Coventry after World War II, the theatre holds 858 in its two-tier main auditorium, and up to 300 in the flexible, new second space, B2. It remains one of the largest regional producing theatres in Britain. HCM will provide the services for two public bars, a restaurant, a café and event catering.

The news comes hot on the heels of HCM’s recent announcement of nearly £14m of new and retained business earlier this year. Tony Carr, HCM Group’s Managing Director, is very happy with the progress they are making. “The integration of both Host and Catermasters is now complete and it’s good to be working as one company and achieving success like this.

“The retention is great news because we’ve been working for some of these clients for nearly a decade now and it demonstrates that our clients have confidence in us and that we deliver quality service and value for them. Our contract win with Wiley in Bognor Regis arguably demonstrates both retention and new business success seeing as this is a new site extension to a contract we have held with them in Oxford for over 15 years. The new contract wins also show that our offer is providing what clients are looking for in terms of great food, great people, innovation and value for money. ”
